Our investment strategy is based on understanding your needs and providing flexible investment options to help you to meet your financial goals.
Investing can offer you a good opportunity of growing your money over the longer term. A long-term approach to investing is generally accepted as being likely to provide the most benefit. Whether you start paying in to a personal pension, invest in a Spanish ''ISA'' type product or invest on behalf of your children, the earlier you start the better.
Both saving and investing can be used to meet both short and long-term financial needs. Short-term needs may include saving for a car or a holiday, whereas long-term investment needs could be saving for retirement, school fees or providing capital for children as they grow up.
A financial adviser can offer expertise and objectivity when choosing to save and invest wisely; helping you find the most appropriate solution for your current circumstances. It is always good to take the effort to ensure you are as informed as possible.
Your investments will be diversified across a range of assets to ensure we maximise any opportunities, while managing risks in line with your requirements.
The various assets owned by an investor are called a portfolio. As a general rule, spreading your money between the different types of asset classes helps lower the risk of your overall portfolio under performing.
Planning investments takes time. This is where we can help, both in advising you on your investment needs and your portfolio.

Tax efficient savings in Spain
If we have arrived in Spain from the UK there is a hope, or perhaps expectation, that there will be savings options similar to an ISA. Spain does not have an ISA system but there is a similar investment, sometimes referred to as the “European ISA equivalent”. It is tax free whilst invested and has a very beneficial low taxation basis, especially if you require income from your investment. It is a little more restrictive than the UK ISA but is still tax efficient.
Two big advantages with the European ISA equivalent are that there is no limit to the amount you can invest and it is portable to other countries. If you would like to invest 10,000,000€ in one year in the “European ISA” you can do! The limit of investment in a UK ISA is currently £20,000 pa. Unlike a UK ISA, the “European ISA” can often go with you if you move country (not to all countries). If you return to the UK, the tax will be proportional to the amount of time you have been in the UK against the time you have had the “European ISA”. So if you have a “European ISA” for 10 years in total and moved back to the UK for the last two years of the 10 years, the tax will be reduced. Specifically, the tax will be calculated and multiplied by 2/10ths. An 80% tax saving!
Like an ISA, there are many choices of funds, most offering Euro, USD and Sterling as currency choices. The funds vary from cautious investment choices to more adventurous options. You can use a number of funds to build a European ISA equivalent to meet the risk profile that is suitable for you.

Why worry about what's going on in the markets if you've already won the game? Many families continue to focus on their investments, hoping for more returns. It goes against what they really want: to enjoy life without worrying about what is going on in the markets. Their money becomes a burden when it should be a benefit. Investment strategies that concentrate on preservation over growth are also available.
The value of investments and the income they produce can fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you invested.
Tax treatment depends on the individual circumstances of each client and may be subject to change in future.
